Today is dedicated to exploring the enchanting region of Merzouga. Begin with a visit to the local villages and experience the traditional Berber lifestyle. In the afternoon, embark on a thrilling camel trek across the golden Erg Chebbi dunes. Witness the magical sunset over the desert before arriving at a traditional Sahara Desert camp. Enjoy a delicious Moroccan dinner, music, and storytelling under the starry sky, and spend the night in a comfortable tent.
After a spectacular sunrise over the dunes and breakfast at the camp, we set off towards Rissani, a town known for its vibrant market and rich history. Explore the local souks before continuing our journey to the lush Tinghir Oasis.
Here, you’ll have the opportunity to visit the magnificent Todra Gorge, with its towering cliffs and winding river. We then proceed to the Dades Valley, often referred to as the Valley of a Thousand Kasbahs. You’ll spend the night in a charming local hotel, enjoying dinner and a comfortable rest.
Following breakfast, we travel through the scenic Dades Valley towards Ouarzazate, known as the “Gateway to the Desert.” Visit the Taourirt Kasbah and the Atlas Film Studios, where many famous movies have been filmed.
Next, we head to the iconic Kasbah Ait Ben Haddou, a UNESCO World Heritage Site recognized for its stunning architecture and historical significance. After exploring the ancient kasbah, we continue our journey through the High Atlas Mountains, arriving in Marrakech by early evening.
