Embark on your thrilling 3-day Mt. Toubkal trekking adventure with a convenient pick-up from your Marrakech hotel or Riad at 09h00 AM. A 90-minute scenic drive will take you to the charming Berber village of Imlil (1740 m).
Upon arrival, meet your experienced Atlas trekking guide and muleteer. They will assist you in loading your belongings onto the mules and can provide hiking gear if needed.
Leaving the picturesque Imlil Valley behind, begin your expedition by ascending to the stunning Tizi N Mzik pass (2489 m). From this vantage point, you will be treated to a panoramic view of the surrounding mountains and the breathtaking Azaden Valley. Take a break and indulge in a delightful picnic lunch within the enchanting Jeneper Forest.
After a rejuvenating rest, continue your journey along the captivating Azzaden Valley towards the charming Tamssoulte village (2250 m). Here, you will spend the night in a cozy local hut, immersing yourself in the authentic mountain atmosphere.
Embark on an exhilarating journey from Toubkal Hut to the renowned Aguelzim Pass. As we ascend, we will be mesmerized by the majestic Ighouliden waterfalls. A well-deserved picnic lunch awaits us, accompanied by breathtaking panoramic views of the High Atlas Mountains. Our expedition continues towards Toubkal Mountain Refuge, our cozy accommodation for the night. Although basic, the refuge provides essential amenities. In the summer, weather permitting, we may choose to camp at the refuge for a memorable experience. Rest well and prepare for the grand adventure that awaits us tomorrow.
Today is the highly anticipated day of reaching the summit of Mount Toubkal, the highest peak in North Africa. We will start early in the morning to take advantage of cooler temperatures and begin the challenging ascent. The path to the summit may vary depending on the season and can present some difficulties.
Once you reach the majestic Toubkal summit at 4167m, you will be rewarded with awe-inspiring views of the Atlas Mountains and the picturesque Berber villages on one side, and the vast Sahara desert on the other. Take your time to absorb the breathtaking scenery and celebrate your achievement.
After spending some time at the summit, we will make our way back to Imlil, passing by the Toubkal refuge where we will stop for lunch. This will be a long day of hiking, with an ascent of 900m in the morning and a descent of nearly 2,500m back to Imlil.
In Imlil, you will meet your driver who will ensure a comfortable transfer back to Marrakech, marking the end of your unforgettable 3-day Atlas Mountain trek.
